Cosrx Propolis Light Ampoule

It's been a while since I made a full Korean skincare review. So, today I'm going to give you my insights about this latest product I received, the Cosrx Propolis Light Ampoule. This ampoule has a natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredient as it is formulated with 83.25% black bee propolis.

Love the fact that this ampoule has only 11 ingredients that are all EWG Green grade plus it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients and is hypoallergenic-tested so that even those who have sensitive skin can use it without any worries.

Packaging:

This comes in a 30ml transparent plastic bottle. The dropper head design resembles a honey dipper. The bottle is lightweight and handy so you can easily store it on your luggage or bag whenever you travel.

Texture and Scent:

The ampoule has a thick and sticky consistency. It doesn't have any notable scent.

What type of skin do I have?

Acne prone, sensitive, and has a combination type of skin

Experience

I honestly have mixed feelings about this ampoule. It is true that this ampoule is moisturizing. I always stay in an air-conditioned room so my face gets dry and this ampoule helps in keeping my skin look more hydrated.

It is great in drying out maskne and soothing the redness whenever I have an active breakout.
Although I did not have any adverse reaction with this ampoule, I would still advise to always do a patch test first. I prefer using this at night since it helps moisturize and makes my face look more supple the next day.

Surprisingly, it doesn't pill under makeup even if it has a viscous texture and is sticky upon application. I did not see any noticeable instant glow.

If you damage your skin barrier from over exfoliation then this would be a great skin-saver solution. I would definitely use this again on months that are colder.

Since the ampoule is a little bit sticky, I have to massage it all over my face for a full minute for it to be fully absorbed. I don't advise using this on hotter days as you can feel that somewhat greasy film upon application.

It honestly makes me oilier during daytime application. Plus, my concern about the packaging is the shortness of the pipette. You would have to tilt the bottle sideways in order to finish the remaining drops of the ampoule. Also I find it pricey for the size of the bottle.

Would you recommend this?

Yes I still would, I think it's best suited for those who have dry skin. Despite having its cons, I do think this ampoule is quite handy when you want to protect and nurse back your damaged skin barrier for using too many actives in your routine.

Update

Since the "ber" months began, I've noticed that my skin has become much drier, so this ampoule has become my best friend. I actually went through the entire bottle faster than I expected, confirming that it really does work well with dry skin. The absorption is quite fast, which amazed me because I no longer had to massage it for a minute. It made my skin look more hydrated when I woke up from a nap, as I mostly use it in the middle of the day.

Where to buy this?

I prefer buying this ampoule on Cosrx Ph's official store at Shopee

The Cosrx Propolis Light Ampoule is currently sold out on their official store so I found another shop on Shopee Mall that sells this ampoule.
