Quick eyebrow fixes for online or face-to-face meetings

Does wearing face masks put a damper on your makeup game? If you often skip wearing your favorite lipstick since they can’t be seen anyway, then let your eyes and eyebrows help you put a good impression during office meetings.

Your eyebrows frame your eyes and face so make sure they’re on fleek when you go on online or face to face meetings. Spotlight, a local makeup brand that aims to empower Filipinas to transform their look, helps you enhance your brows with these hacks using its Megahit Eyebrow Pen (P295):

Shape your brow with the map technique.

Identify three key parts of your brows: the head, which is the part closest to the nose, the arch where the brow is naturally the highest, and the tail, which is the part nearest to the outer corner of the eye. You can use the Megahit Eyebrow Pen to map out these parts.

To start, rest the pen vertically against your nose. Where it touches your brow is the head. Next, swivel the pencil outward just until the edge of your iris to find the highest point of your arch. Move the pencil further, stopping at the corner of the eye to mark the tail. Connect these parts with straight line just above your brows.

Make them look natural with hair-like strokes.

Now that you’ve marked your brows, fill the sparse spots with short, hair-like strokes to achieve more natural-looking brows. Don’t forget to blur out harsh lines with a spoolie. You can tidy up your brows even more by hiding imperfections with concealer. Here’s an added tip: keep your brows well- groomed so it’s easier to enhance with eyebrow makeup.

So there – you now have well-shaped, natural-looking yet enhanced eyebrows!

Cosrx Propolis Light Ampoule Review

It's been a while since I made a full Korean skincare review. So, today I'm going to give you my insights about this latest product I received, the Cosrx Propolis Light Ampoule. This ampoule has a natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredient as it is formulated with 83.25% black bee propolis.

Love the fact that this ampoule has only 11 ingredients that are all EWG Green grade plus it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients and is hypoallergenic-tested so that even those who have sensitive skin can use it without any worries.

Packaging:

This comes in a 30ml transparent plastic bottle. The dropper head design resembles a honey dipper. The bottle is lightweight and handy so you can easily store it on your luggage or bag whenever you travel.

Texture and Scent:

The ampoule has a thick and sticky consistency. It doesn't have any notable scent.

What type of skin do I have?

Acne prone, sensitive, and has a combination type of skin

Experience

I honestly have mixed feelings about this ampoule. It is true that this ampoule is moisturizing. I always stay in an air-conditioned room so my face gets dry and this ampoule helps in keeping my skin look more hydrated.

It is great in drying out maskne and soothing the redness whenever I have an active breakout.
Although I did not have any adverse reaction with this ampoule, I would still advise to always do a patch test first. I prefer using this at night since it helps moisturize and makes my face look more supple the next day.

Surprisingly, it doesn't pill under makeup even if it has a viscous texture and is sticky upon application. I did not see any noticeable instant glow.

If you damage your skin barrier from over exfoliation then this would be a great skin-saver solution. I would definitely use this again on months that are colder.

Since the ampoule is a little bit sticky, I have to massage it all over my face for a full minute for it to be fully absorbed. I don't advise using this on hotter days as you can feel that somewhat greasy film upon application.

It honestly makes me oilier during daytime application. Plus, my concern about the packaging is the shortness of the pipette. You would have to tilt the bottle sideways in order to finish the remaining drops of the ampoule. Also I find it pricey for the size of the bottle.

Would you recommend this?

Yes I still would, I think it's best suited for those who have dry skin. Despite having its cons, I do think this ampoule is quite handy when you want to protect and nurse back your damaged skin barrier for using too many actives in your routine.
